Mad Mobile is seeking an Account Executive (AE) to join our growing sales team. Within a defined territory, The AE will be ultimately accountable for bringing in new business relationships as well as up-selling and cross-selling of our product to these new clients.  A successful AE is an outstanding communicator who is highly technical, analytical, and organized.  You must be a ‘hunter’; with strong ‘gatherer’ skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Selling directly to enterprise retailer and restaurants leveraging our technology partnership relationships
  • Once you sell these enterprise clients, you will have responsibility to increase portfolio value significantly year over year
  • Continuing to improve the company’s retention rates by managing the renewal pipeline while systematically identifying potential areas for product or user expansion in our customer base
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring key metrics and objectives across customer support, implementation, and account management, providing insight into customer growth and health
  • Communicate regularly with executives at client organizations (including travel for in-person meetings) to deepen relationships, lead strategic visioning sessions, and gather feedback to improve our offerings
  • Cultivate open pathways for communication between the Customer Advocacy and Sales teams to ensure optimal transfer of knowledge and relationships
  • Work with the executive team and sales team to identify and build systems to drive client referrals
  • Responsible for weekly updates to the executive team (SVP Global Sales) focused on sales activities, pipeline, and closed deals

 SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong track record of growing revenues in sophisticated, complex, enterprise infrastructure software or cloud products where the buying decision is made by developers, but whose 6- and 7-figure annual subscription budgets are controlled by senior engineering and IT executives.
  • Learn and understand the assigned customers’ business model and match the Mad Mobile solution to the business needs and technical requirements
  • In-depth understanding of the enterprise sales process
  • Navigating a primarily greenfield geographic territory, top of funnel activity & prospecting
  • Effectively managing a long sales cycle (approx. 6 – 12 months) to a successful close
  • Selling technical, complex software to senior executives (c-suite and business partners) at the enterprise level ($2B+ in revenue)
  • Nurturing accounts through our land and expand approach
  • Viewing the client’s business through a strategic lens to create custom, tailored solutions specific to each customer’s needs
  • Leveraging and developing meaningful relationships
  • Actively seeking to understand industry trends to help position against competitors

QUALIFCIATIONS

  • 8+ years’ experience in high-touch account executive and/or sales in enterprise retail, restaurant and/or technology sector
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams as well as external partners to enable the success of both teams regarding sales and customer experience
  • Experience leveraging data insights to improve customer experience
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Self-driven and highly accountable for delivering extraordinary outcomes
  • Strong communicator
  • High organizational intelligence about how enterprise clients typically operate
  • Extremely sharp problem-solving skills
  • Thrives in metrics- and data-driven environments
  • Mobile web and app experience on smartphones and tablets a plus
  • Retail/Restaurant sales or management experience a plus
